U.S. MEDIAN HOME SELLING PRICE IMPACT ON ARIZONA
This map compares each U.S. state's median home selling price for JULY 2018. Darker-colored states have the highest median home selling prices in the country, whereas the lighter-colored states have the lowest prices. It should be noted that home selling prices are generally lower in the Midwest, with higher home prices found along both U.S. coasts and the Western states in general.
Arizona home sales are being positively affected by high median home selling prices in California, Washington and Colorado, causing residents to migrate from those high cost states to Arizona. It isn’t just seniors coming here, new companies are moving to Arizona to establish new high-tech firms, large companies are expanding their operations in Arizona shutting down operations in other areas of the U.S. and transferring existing employees who want to move to Arizona. And then there are Millennials, who find our strong job growth, safe and affordable neighborhoods, our cost of living, weather and casual lifestyle make Arizona the best place in the West to establish roots, buy an affordable home they could never hope to own where they came from and to thrive and raise their family.
