Benson Industries, an office tower construction firm and subsidiary of Mitek Inc., owned by Warren Buffett's BerkshireBUFFETT INTERVIEW Hathaway, has leased more than 93,000 square feet in west Phoenix at the Durango Commerce Center near 75th Avenue and Interstate 10. External glass and steel facades for high rise and skyscraper buildings will be manufactured at this facility for use in high rise building projects being built primarily in California.

Benson manufactures glass and steel structures outfitted on the outside of large buildings including One World Trade Center and the New York Times Building in New York, as well as towers in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Singapore and Hong Kong.

This annoucement follows on the heels of a recent announcement that Berkshire Hathaway acquires Prudential Arizona Properties and renames this successful residential real estate company serving the Phoenix and Tucson real estate markets Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices | Arizona Properties.
