ADP will bring 1,500 jobs to empty former US Airways building in Tempe
ADP, a human-resources company based in New Jersey and expanding in Arizona, is hiring 1500 jobs at their Tempe building that was the former US Airways headquarters before their merger with American Airlines.
ADP took possession of the 200,000-square-foot building Nov. 1, 2016 and has begun re-purposing the building to support their advertising jobs.
ADP describes itself as a global provider of cloud-based "human capital management," offering its clients business solutions in human resources, payroll, benefits administration and other functions for business clients, totaling an impressive number of more than 650,000.
The company has more than 56,000 employees worldwide and annual revenue of about $12 billion. It already employs a few hundred Arizonans at facilities in Tucson and Chandler, which will remain in operation after the Tempe site opens in the spring. This expansion into Tempe represents a $34 million investment by the company, according to ADP.
One of the key factors in ADP's decision to select this site in Tempe was the access it provides to an educated, diverse and talented workforce. Most of those the company will hire will need a four-year degree in human resources or business or other comparable work experience.
For all you job seekers, ADP is aggressively seeking job applicants to fill many open positions at their new downtown Tempe facility and has scheduled six job fairs at the Arizona State University Business Career Center.
ADP was attracted by the vibrancy of the Tempe urban environment and the quality of life their employees will receive coming to Tempe.
